KIDZ KOVE
CHILDCARE CENTRE
Our Curriculum:
At Kidz Kove, the Academy's curriculum is a blend of Montessori and High Scope education with an emphasis on academics. We use a holistic approach for early learning which provides age-appropriate activities and build an academic mindset for each child, through the teachers igniting the children's interest in learning by creating an environment that encourages them to explore learning materials. Our goal is to build self-awareness and introduce children to the community and environment around them. We follow these categories of learning at our centre:
Practical Life Exercises:
The purpose and the aim of Practical Life is to help the child develop control and coordination of their movement,
and help the child to gain independence and adapt to his society. Practical Life Exercises also aid the growth and development of the child’s intellect and concentration.

Sensorial Exercises:
The purpose and aim of Sensorial work is for the child to acquire clear, conscious, information by providing organized opportunities for contact with their environment. Through their senses, children study their environment and moves from concrete understanding to logical and abstract thinking.
Language:
Language is taught phonetically by using materials to increase vocabulary and visual perception. Once a child has acquired knowledge of the alphabet, we begin to compose and build words to encourage meaningful and purposeful dialogue with their peers. Through storytelling and songs, we engage the children in discussions to help develop their language, listening, reading and writing skills.
Mathematics:
Math is introduced using games and activities such as shapes, blocks, colours and other creative methods so that the child learns math concepts without realizing it.

French:
Our French program introduces the French language to the children in a fun and enjoyable way. Children will learn variety of subjects including numbers, colours, fruits and vegetables, animals, body parts and objects around the home and school.

Culture:
This area will cover a variety of subjects such as history, geography and social sciences which are tough through themes, arts and crafts and visual aids to promote learning. Children will learn about different countries of the world, their people, animals and habitat.
